Dear Euma Friends around Europe!

When Euma Finland two years ago decided to volunteer to organize the Spring Council and Training Day 2010 in Helsinki, it felt like the year 2010 was ages away. But now we are here and the time just flew by! We are happy to announce that everything is ready for you to arrive.

We hope that you will enjoy not only the Council Meetings and the Training Day but also our beautiful capital city. Even though the days are filled with programme we are sure that you'll have time to discover the city as well - the length of the day in April is about 15 hours! We are expecting the winter to be gone by then and we will be in the middle of a very early spring during our event.

The title of the Training Day, Emotional Intelligence, is "Tunneäly" in Finnish. From the Finnish word we have a wordplay: "Tunne älysi ja älyä tunteesi" which translated into English roughly is "Know your feelings and feel your knowledge". Isn't that just what Emotional Intelligence is about? In Finnish it is. It's funny to see that we use five words in Finnish to express that and in English it takes seven words to say the same thing. Maybe we Finns after all not are as silent as we are claimed to be - we just need less words to express ourselves.

In our silent way I greet you with these few words: Please accept our warmest welcome to Helsinki to the Euma Spring Council and Training Day 2010! We hope to see as many of you as possible as our guest in April.
